Nearly 900 salmonella cases tied to onions

A salmonella outbreak linked to onions has grown to 43 states and Canada with the producer and grocers recalling the produce. A total of 640 cases have been reported in the U.S. to date including 85 hospitalizations. The number of cases in Canada currently stands at 239 with 29 people being hospitalized.
