DoorDash is experiencing a rise in orders from new customers seeking non-restaurant items such as groceries and flowers, with CEO Tony Xu noting that the company attracts more first-time non-restaurant customers than any other platform. The company’s expansion into the grocery sector has led to a surge in total orders, reaching 532 million in a quarter, a 25% YoY increase.
