NRF Sees Retail Growth in 2012, But Less Than 2011

The National Retail Federation is forecasting that retail industry sales will rise 3.4 percent to $2.53 trillion this year (excluding sales of autos, gas and restaurants). While higher than that expected of other industries, the estimate is below the 4.7 percent growth seen in 2011.
