Panda Express Introduces 5 New Menu Items

January 10, 2025

Panda Express is ringing in the New Year with five new menu items, bringing a much-needed refresh to their longtime lineup.

Allrecipes reports that to accommodate different dietary requirements and lifestyle objectives, the fast Chinese restaurant collaborated with nutritionist Kylie Sakaida, MS, RD, to develop five completely balanced meals. These foods are high in protein, but they also contain a lot of carbohydrates and fiber to keep you full.

The Panda Express protein plates include:

  • Double Protein Plate: Double-grilled teriyaki chicken with half white rice and half Super Greens as sides.
  • Bold & Flavorful Plate: Kung Pao chicken and Black Pepper Sirloin Steak with Super Greens as a side.
  • Power Packed Plate: Black Pepper Sirloin Steak and Broccoli Beef with Super Greens as a side.
  • Protein & Fiber Plate: String Bean Chicken Breast and Kung Pao Chicken with Super Greens as a side.
  • Harmonious Macros Plate: Grilled teriyaki chicken and Broccoli Beef with Super Greens as a side.

However, these new additions from Panda Express have one catch: they are only available to order online. They do, however, appear to be a permanent addition to the menu, as they are not specifically listed as a “limited time” offering.

Panda Express is the Latest to Get a Menu Refresh

Panda Express is just the latest company to refresh its menu. Earlier this week, McDonald’s launched its much-anticipated value menu and teased that it would bring back the much-beloved Strawberry & Creme Pie.

Customers can select from eight different breakfast, lunch, and supper options, including burgers, nuggets, and breakfast sandwiches, as part of the McValue menu’s new “Buy One, Add One for $1” promotion. When consumers buy one full-priced item from the McValue menu, they can add another item for just $1.

Through its mobile app, the new McValue platform will also provide exclusive deals and local food and drink promotions. Every Friday this year, for example, customers who spend $1 receive a medium order of fries for free. Additionally, the business gives new app users a free McCrispy chicken sandwich.

McDonald’s has also partnered with actor and professional wrestler John Cena to launch the new platform, calling him “the perfect McValue ambassador.”
