Panera fans can now show off their love for the bakery chain in style with a chic croissant clutch.
This newest addition to Panera’s bags and accessories store is a limited-edition item that’s equal parts style and function, designed to keep the store’s bakery treats warm and ready. The Panera Croissant Clutch is perfectly sized to fit the brand’s Croissant Toast Sandwich and is insulated for a stylish addition to a meal on the go.
Per a press release, the accessory celebrates the launch of the eatery’s newest menu addition, its Croissant Toast Sandwich. This stylish brown clutch takes inspiration from the delicate layers of a croissant, featuring a pleated design, accordion-style gusset, and a classic kiss-lock closure with a gold frame.
Crafted with a structured silhouette, it includes a detachable gold chain shoulder strap. A custom metal “P” emblem adds a signature touch. Inside, the clutch is lined with insulated material to help keep your favorite Panera items warm on the go.
“Just as our new Croissant Toast Sandwiches bring an exciting twist to mealtime, the Croissant Clutch celebrates the innovative flavors of our spring menu in signature Panera style,” said Mark Shambura, chief marketing officer at Panera Bread. “We are always exploring new ways to connect with our guests, from craveable meals to playful expressions of our brand — including this unique fusion of food, function and fashion.”
The item retails for $39.50. Along with the clutch, customers will get a $15 gift card with their purchase to try Panera’s Croissant Toast sandwiches. The bag is expected to ship in August 2025.
What Are Panera’s Croissant Toast Sandwiches?

Panera’s new Croissant Toast Sandwiches launched on April 16. They feature sliced bread made from buttery, flaky croissant dough.
This first-of-its-kind sandwich is available in two limited-time varieties:
- Croque Monsieur Croissant Toast: Black Forest ham, melty provolone and asiago cheeses, and a caramelized onion and gruyere spread make this a completely reimagined ham and cheese sandwich.
- Fromage Croissant Toast: Melty provolone and American cheeses, caramelized onions, arugula, and garlic aioli transform this simple classic into something extraordinary.
“Our new Croissant Toasts are an innovative gamechanger for our sandwich menu. These unique sandwiches are curated with an all-butter, flaky croissant sliced bread, delivering a truly delicious product and experience like nothing Panera has had on its menu before,” said Scott Uehlein, vice president of culinary, via a press statement.
He continued, “Its amazing appearance is only surpassed by its taste — a perfect balance of a crisp crust and buttery, layered interior that makes these menu items truly special. It’s everything our guests love about croissants and sandwiches made into two irresistible offerings.”
CMO Shambura added, “Panera is focused on serving high-quality, craveable food that fits every moment of our guests’ lives, and our new spring menu delivers everything from exciting innovation in our new Croissant Toast Sandwiches to delightful, familiar comfort with the return of our seasonal favorites. With our new brand platform, ‘It Just Meals Good,’ we are bringing energy, confidence, and a renewed focus on what makes Panera unique while leaning into our heritage. We are going beyond our menu and celebrating the power of a meal that is special and worth savoring — and the best thing is our guests get to decide exactly what that means for them in the moment.”
This initiative suggests customers utilize the quick-service eatery to celebrate “various life moments and connections that make each meal truly meaningful.” Panera added that it’s the small moments that matter most in life, from time spent with friends to even some time alone in one’s car.
As of April 1, 2025, there are 2,223 cafes — company and franchise — in 48 states and Washington, D.C., and in Ontario, Canada, operating under the Panera Bread or Saint Louis Bread Co. names.
