Abdul Jamil Khokhar, who owns nine Papa John’s franchises in the Bronx borough of New York City, has been sentenced to 60 days in jail after failing to pay employees what he owed them and then falsifying tax records to try and cover his tracks. Mr. Khokhar failed to pay employees overtime wages when they worked more than 40 hours in a week.
