Penney Closing Stores; Ackman, Roth Named Directors

J.C. Penney announced that William Ackman, who leads Pershing Square Capital Management, and Steven Roth, CEO of Vornado Realty Trust, have been named to the retailer's board of directors. The retailer also said it planned to close five under-performing stores.
