PetSmart's new concept stores go the 'premiumization' route

Among the 43 new stores opened by PetSmart this year were PetSmart Pet Spa in Oceanside, N.Y. and PetSmart at the Beach in Toronto. The Spa location is only 7,400 square feet, much smaller than the chain's traditional stores, but manages space for a coffee bar to keep patrons pampered while their pets are bathed.
