P.F. Chang’s Testing Pagoda Asian Grill Restaurants in These 3 States

If you’re a fan of P.F. Chang’s but want to try something a little bit different, you may be in luck: According to Restaurant Business, the chain is testing a new fast-casual spinoff concept, Pagoda Asian Grill, in locations distributed across three different states.

If you live in (or nearby) Woodbury, New York; McKinney, Texas; or St. Petersberg, Florida, you’re in luck, as Pagoda Asian Grill is open for business in your locality.

P.F. Chang’s Pagoda Asian Grill Offers a Variety of Flavors at a Similar Price Point to Competitors

The menu at Pagoda Asian Grill reflects a wide variety of flavors to suit every palate, from teriyaki chicken to Taiwanese or Korean BBQ steak. Fried wontons are available for those who enjoy this classic appetizer, and the Chinese Fiery Black Pepper Chicken wrap is sure to please the pickiest of spice lovers.

Wraps and bowls are priced at between $11 and $15, depending on the version you choose. You can also build your own bowl or wrap, and the official Pagoda Asian Grill website advertises that guests have “over 1 billion combinations” to choose from.

P.F. Chang’s CEO Eduardo Luz spoke of a massive opportunity presenting itself in the fast-casual space, particularly for one offering contemporary Asian-inspired fare.

“We believe that besides the bistros, which is the core of the business, there’s a very large white space for an Asian fast-casual model in the U.S.,” Luz said in remarks made at the recent ICR conference.

“We believe that someone is going to do that [succeed at continued growth despite industry struggles, a la Chipotle or Cava] at scale for Asian, and I believe that someone could be us,” Luz continued.

Despite competition from others in similar food service territory — notably Panda Express, as well as Teriyaki Madness and Bibibop Asian Grill, as Restaurant Business outlined — the company expressed a belief that it could one day see 2,000 Pagoda locations nationwide.
