Pier 1 Decides Not to Pursue Cost Plus

Pier 1 has dropped its bid to acquire its home-furnishings rival Cost Plus. While it maintained that it believes that the combined companies would "create a significant value for stakeholders," Pier 1 said the asking price for Cost Plus was simply too high.
