Pizza Hut Goes Gourmet With Caviar Creation

April 10, 2025

Pizza Hut has elevated the simple pizza into an elevated dining experience with the introduction of Pizza Caviar.

According to a press release, Pizza Hut, the fast-food chain, created bite-sized Pizza Caviar pearls that taste like pepperoni and are designed for dipping and dunking. This new menu item is crafted to replicate the look and feel of traditional caviar, without the fish. Pizza Caviar is pepperoni-flavored water and agar-agar based caviar-style pearls.

Pizza Caviar has a bold, smoky pepperoni flavor. It is included in the brand’s new Pizza Caviar Bump Box. This limited-time menu item includes one cheese Personal Pan Pizza and a choice of three plain boneless wings or fries, all topped with bursts of pepperoni-flavored Pizza Caviar.

“As a brand that’s always pushing the boundaries of what pizza culture can be, we saw an opportunity to take one of today’s biggest food trends and make it our own,” says Chief Marketing Officer Melissa Friebe. “Pizza Caviar is our way of bringing a touch of indulgence while staying true to the flavors people love from Pizza Hut.”

Pizza Hut’s Pizza Caviar Bump Box will be available exclusively in New York City from April 10 through April 12 from 4 to 8 p.m., while supplies last.

Pizza Hut Subsequently Pulled a Prank With Meaning in the Middle East

On April 10, Pizza Hut-branded boxes began appearing in the frozen food aisles of supermarkets across the Middle East. Excited shoppers quickly grabbed them — only to discover they were missing one crucial thing: the pizza.

Instead, pizza lovers found a note inside. It read, “Sorry, we don’t do frozen pizzas. Our dough is freshly made every single day. But don’t worry, here’s a voucher to get a fresh one on our app.”

Pizza Hut pulled off a clever prank not just for laughs but as a strategic move to drive online orders and showcase the brand’s commitment to freshness. Far from a gimmick, the empty boxes served as a bold reminder that Pizza Hut doesn’t freeze its pies. In the end, the inventive fast-food chain once again raised the bar in marketing with a campaign that highlighted one of its core values: freshly made pizza, every single day.
