Popularity of vinyl records creates production challenges

Vinyl records are the most popular physical format for music, with 17 million LPs sold in the U.S. through the first six months of the year. The growing popularity of vinyl records has led to delays in units shipping to stores. Delays on new releases are running up to 25 weeks from the date of release via digital downloads.
