Porch pirates are keeping pace with the growth in seasonal e-commerce

Law enforcement officials around the country say they believe theft of packages from outside consumers' homes is on the rise. "Porch pirates," according to the NY Times, are following UPS trucks and scooping up packages before owners get a chance to bring them inside. In a recent incident in Lincoln, Nebraska, police recovered more than 30 packages from a car driven by thieves.
