President Obama proposes federal standards for cyber security

In an address to the FTC, the President previewed a cybersecurity and identity theft program that he plans to unveil formally in his state of the union address. The measures are meant to provide nationwide data-breach protection standards to overcome confusion over conflicting state laws.
