Best Buy

Electronics retailer Best Buy is set to offer prescription continuous glucose monitoring systems (CGMs) for the first time. The Dexcom G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring System will be available to eligible customers through BestBuy.com, facilitated by virtual care platform Wheel and pharmacy technology provider HealthDyne.

This move comes as demand for CGMs has surged, with over 10% of the U.S. population having diabetes according to the CDC. By offering these devices, Best Buy aims to provide a convenient way for individuals to monitor their glucose levels in real time, without the need for fingersticks. While insurance payments for CGM systems won’t be accepted initially, customers with HSA/FSA/HRA funds may be eligible for reimbursement.
