Hasbro, the global leader in play, has announced the release of a new version of the popular game Twister.
Twister Air, available for pre-order on Amazon and set to hit major retailers on August 1, brings the classic gameplay to life using augmented reality (AR) technology. With Twister Air, players use their smartphones or tablets and the accompanying Twister Air app to engage in the game, eliminating the need for a physical mat. The app tracks players’ movements as they reach, clap, swipe, and strike poses to music beats, earning points by matching their wrist and ankle bands to colored spots on the screen. The game offers three different modes—Solo, VS, or Teams—and features a library of over 16 songs to enhance the playing experience.
To commemorate the launch, Hasbro has released an original song, “Twist in the Air,” which will be available in the game as well as on popular streaming platforms. With its integration of AR technology and modern music-inspired gameplay, Twister Air aims to provide players of all ages with a fresh and entertaining experience while building on the legacy of the iconic Twister game that first captivated audiences in the 1960s.
