Jack In The Box Inc.

Jack in the Box, a leading quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain in the US, has signed a franchise agreement to expand into Mexico for the first time in over 30 years. The agreement involves a commitment to open 22 Jack in the Box units across four northern Mexican states.

The company selected the Terrazas family, experienced restaurant operators with local ties and infrastructure, to develop the brand internationally. The strategic choice to expand along the border was driven by strong brand recognition and the proximity of existing restaurants in the region. The Terrazas family expressed excitement about joining the Jack in the Box franchise system, citing the brand’s craveable menu, brand awareness, and available territory as key factors in their decision.

This expansion into Mexico follows the brand’s recent announcements for entry into new markets, including Orlando, Arkansas, Hawaii, Tennessee, Missouri, Texas, and California. Additionally, Jack in the Box and Del Taco, another brand under Jack in the Box Inc., have entered into development agreements to enter the markets of Montana and Wyoming for the first time.
