Publix

Publix Super Markets is launching Publix Serves Week, focusing on combatting hunger. As part of this initiative, mobile food pantries funded by Publix Super Markets Charities (PSMC) are being deployed in communities facing food insecurity across the Southeast. In 2022, PSMC provided $175,000 to 22 Feeding America partner food banks for the purchase and outfitting of these mobile units.

Additionally, PSMC is donating $6 million to 36 Feeding America partner food banks and over 300 other nonprofit organizations. This funding supports various services like weekend backpack programs, food pantries, and meal delivery programs. In total, PSMC has invested over $52 million in hunger alleviation since 2015. Publix CEO Todd Jones expressed gratitude for PSMC’s ongoing support in this mission.

Publix associates are also contributing to Publix Serves by volunteering at more than 150 nonprofit organizations, focusing on hunger alleviation. This reflects Publix’s broader efforts against hunger, including volunteerism, register campaigns, and food donations.
