A survey by Jackery, a global leader in portable power solutions, highlights that a majority of Americans are ill-prepared for power outages. Over half (53%) admitted to being caught off guard by their last outage. Although 56% expressed concern about power interruptions, 49% said they don’t regularly use portable power solutions.
Interestingly, 57% expressed interest in adopting solar power at home, citing lower costs and energy independence as motivating factors. However, 73% see cost as a significant hurdle, and 81% believe local governments should invest more in upgrading electrical infrastructure to prevent failures.
