According to Office Depot’s First Annual Home Office Survey, over half of remote workers have set up a dedicated home office space due to the pandemic.

Most respondents did it to make working easier (63%) or because they needed a more comfortable workspace (52%). Respondents have invested both time and money in making their home offices personalized and productive, with an average spend of $1,700. The survey also found that 55% of people who recently moved did so to find a better home office workspace.

The survey highlights the importance of having a comfortable and ergonomic workspace, with an adjustable chair and a spacious desk with storage rated as the most underrated products for a productive work environment.

Office Depot aims to continue helping customers make their workspaces work best for them by identifying new solutions to address their preferences and pain points.
