Pitney Bowes, the global shipping and mailing company, has issued a statement in response to a recommendation by proxy advisory firm Glass, Lewis & Co. in connection with the company’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
Glass, Lewis & Co. recommended that shareholders vote in favor of a majority of Pitney Bowes’ director nominees and that the company’s existing GEC strategy be maintained. The board and management team expressed their satisfaction with the recommendation and said that any deviation from the existing strategy would reduce shareholder value. They also urged shareholders to vote for all the nominees recommended by the Pitney Bowes board.
