Simmons Bank has restructured its banking division to create two new positions: chief commercial banking officer and chief community banking officer.
Chad Rawls has been named chief commercial banking officer. He will be responsible for leading Simmons’ commercial and corporate banking business. Rawls has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry, and he most recently served as chief credit officer for Simmons.
Chris White has been named chief community banking officer. He will be responsible for leading Simmons’ community and retail banking business. White has over 19 years of experience in the banking industry, and he most recently served as Arkansas Community Division president for Simmons.
Josh Herron and Steve Wade have been tapped to lead Simmons’ well-established credit function. Herron will serve as interim chief credit officer, and Wade will provide support during this transition as deputy chief credit officer. Herron has over 22 years of banking experience, and Wade has over 40 years of industry experience.
The restructuring of Simmons’ banking division is part of the company’s Better Bank Initiative, which is designed to position Simmons for future growth. The initiative includes a focus on commercial and corporate banking, as well as community and retail banking.
