As of Oct. 24, Sweetgreen, the health-focused restaurant chain, is set to become the first national fast-casual brand to exclusively use extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) in its cooking process. This shift applies to all proteins, veggies, and grains across their menu. The move aligns with Sweetgreen’s commitment to high-quality, locally sourced, and minimally processed ingredients.

Bari Olive Oil Company, a longstanding family-owned provider, will supply the EVOO, which is produced using organic, sustainable practices in California. Additionally, Texas Olive Ranch will be introduced in the Texas market. This pioneering step reflects Sweetgreen’s dedication to elevating ingredient quality and transparency in the industry.
