The travel booking platform is powered by Expedia Group’s technology, granting Walmart+ members access to a vast selection of over 900,000 properties, 500+ airlines, 100+ car rental companies, and numerous activities worldwide. The collaboration aims to create a seamless experience for Walmart+ members, offering significant savings and rewards while planning their vacations.
According to Venessa Yates, senior vice president and general manager of Walmart+, this partnership brings together a travel-focused benefit for Walmart+ members, adding to the array of existing benefits such as free delivery, streaming, and fuel savings.
Walmart+ members can access the travel benefit through their member benefits hub in the app or WalmartPlusTravel.com. After booking a trip, any earned Walmart Cash will be available in the member’s Walmart wallet, usable for future Walmart purchases or cashed out in-store. The collaboration also gives Walmart+ members access to Expedia Group’s top-tier customer service, ensuring a smooth travel experience from planning to completion.
