Reading is fundamental to Barnes & Noble's plans for growth

Barnes & Noble has gone in the course of a few years from a floundering bookstore chain in search of an identity to one that has refocused on reading and begun opening new stores again. The chain opened 22 new locations in the last fiscal year.
