Rent-A-Center’s management called ‘bunch of crooks’ in court

Vintage Capital partner Brian Kahn claimed in court that top management and directors at Rent-A-Center are “a bunch of crooks” after the rent-to-own company pulled out of a merger agreement. Mr. Kahn’s claim, which Rent-A-Center is disputing, is that the company used information that Vintage employed to grow Buddy’s, another rent-to-own retailer, obtained during the merger process.
