AliExpress Empowers Sellers with Smarter Tools and New ISV Partnerships

Can Smarter Tools Help Make Selling Online Easier and Faster For U.S. Sellers? AliExpress Thinks So

Selling online is getting more complicated by the day.  Running an e-commerce business today means managing far more than products and prices — sellers are expected to keep listings polished, inventory accurate across multiple channels, shipping fast, and returns painless in order to meet ever rising consumer expectations.

As more brands expand onto several marketplaces at once, the operational load has only grown heavier. Recent research shows marketplace sellers are active on an average of six marketplaces and spend roughly a third of their working week on manual tasks like updating listings and managing inventory. That’s a lot of time not spent on strategy, product, or customers.

AliExpress, part of Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group, is trying to flip that equation for U.S. merchants. Through its AliExpressLocal program, the company is rolling out new tools and integrations designed to strip out busywork, centralize core workflows, and give qualified local sellers more ways to get discovered.

“Sellers are juggling so many moving parts when running their businesses,” said Jackie Lee, Head of Partnerships and Business Development at AliExpress U.S. “Our updates tackle these pain points directly, saving sellers time and energy with integrated logistics, AI-powered automation, and co-marketing support, so they can focus on meeting shoppers expectations more effectively.”

Cutting Busy Work with AI Tools and ISV Integrations

For many sellers, managing product listings are a quiet time sink. Seemingly simple tasks like editing images, resizing them for different devices, and updating inventory can balloon into hours of tedious work. AliExpress is attacking that from two angles: AI and deeper ISV integrations.

AliExpress has introduced an AI-enabled imaging tool designed to take the grunt work out of listing photos. Sellers can upload original, high-quality images without pre-sizing them to exact dimension specs, and the platform automatically generates optimized versions for required placements across devices.

Crucially, the tool is built to preserve the integrity of key content—faces, objects, and text—by maintaining proportionality and avoiding the stretching, squashing, or awkward cropping that can cheapen a product page. Where needed, it can also apply a clean white background to meet catalog standards.

In practice, that can mean fewer rounds in external editing tools and a lower risk of “good product, bad presentation” moments that hurt conversion.

On the integration side, AliExpress is expanding its ecosystem of independent software vendors (ISVs), so sellers can plug AliExpress into the systems they already rely on.

The newest addition is Quipt, a next-generation commerce middleware that connects product, inventory, and order data between systems. For AliExpressLocal sellers, the collaboration is designed to automate data syncing, simplify post-sale management, and improve operational efficiency.

Quipt joins existing AliExpress integration partners Linnworks and StoreAutomator, which help U.S. sellers coordinate inventory, orders, and shipping across channels.

Boosting Seller Visibility and Helping Shoppers Discover Trusted Brands

Even great products can get lost in today’s saturated marketplaces, making it difficult for sellers to grow, protect their sales, or establish a clear brand identity. At the same time, shoppers face their own frustrations—sorting through countless listings with little guidance, often unsure which brands they can trust or which products will deliver on expectations. AliExpress aims to solve these challenges with Brand+, a dedicated channel that spotlights trusted brands for consumers and provides co-marketing opportunities for sellers. Sellers who join Brand+ can tap into:

  • In-platform highlights features and badging that reinforce trust and quality.
  • Social media spotlights and inclusion in broader AliExpress marketing.
  • Opportunities to tie into PR and campaign-led storytelling.

In today’s ecommerce environment, where consumers increasingly rely on trusted brands and curated recommendations when making their purchasing decisions, this new channel and its tools help sellers break through the noise by driving conversions and strengthening consumer confidence.

Easier Shipping & Fulfillment to Ensuring Reliable Delivery

Ask any online seller what slows them down, and shipping will almost always make the list. Keeping track of carriers, printing labels, and processing returns can quickly turn into a nightmare. AliExpress’ new labeling tool tries to cut through that mess by putting the essential shipping necessities in one place: labels, tracking, returns, and set shipping rates that don’t require haggling. Instead of hopping through shipping hurdles, sellers can handle the basics right on the platform, trimming busywork. And, in turn, give customers clearer, smoother, and more predictable path from checkout to doorstep.

Cutting Through the Chaos

It is no secret that sellers face growing expectations from consumers for professional listings, fast shipping, seamless returns, and trustworthy brands. Navigating these demands while managing day-to-day operations can easily overwhelm sellers.

Platforms that help sellers streamline manual work, improve visibility, and simplify fulfillment are becoming essential for staying competitive. By focusing on tools and processes that reduce friction, sellers can spend more time growing their business, connecting with customers, and delivering the reliable experiences shoppers now expect.
