Restaurants turn to QR codes in a time of pandemic

Since March, half of all full service restaurant operators have added digital menus that use QR codes to give customers access, according to a recent state of the industry report by the National Restaurant Association. “We had to figure out how to keep people safe,” said Eric Martino, COO of ThinkFoodGroup. “People are not going to want to touch a menu, and how do we do this without having to hold a [credit] card, which puts our team in danger?”
