Retailers Get $7.25B in Credit Card Swipe Fee Settlement

As part of a deal with MasterCard, Visa and banks that issue their credit cards, retailers have agreed to a settlement that includes the reduction of swipe fees by 10 basis points for an eight-month period. Not all retailers, specifically convenience stores, were happy with the negotiated deal.
