Rita’s Italian Ice Capitalizes on Popular TikTok Trend With Twisted Cola Blender Lineup

Rita’s Italian Ice, like other retailers, has become aware of viral TikTok crazes. The “fluffy Coke” trend has generated over a thousand videos of people trying variations of soda with ice cream or a similar product. And now, the nationwide Italian ice retailer is offering its own take on it.

In a press release, Rita’s Italian Ice announced that it is embracing innovation by launching its new Twisted Cola Blender drink, which was inspired by the viral social media fad that has swept the internet by storm. Rita’s Twisted Cola Blender blends the powerful taste of the new Cola Ice in a delightful drink, topped with rich CocoLime Cream for a sweet, creamy, coconut-lime flavor twist that complements the Cola Ice perfectly. It’s only available for a limited time.

Rita’s loyal Gelati customers can also try the Cola Ice in the new Cola Float Gelati, which features layers of Cola Ice and Vanilla Frozen Custard.

For a limited time, Rita’s customers can buy one Twisted Cola Blender and get a small one free if they order through the app. They can receive the deal by downloading the app by May 4, and it expires seven days after it is issued.

Rita’s Italian Ice Unveiled a New Flavor on the First Day of Spring

Rita’s Italian Ice recently resumed its yearly practice of giving away free Italian Ice on the first day of spring, and the company has also launched a new flavor for its customers to try.

On Thursday, March 20, 2025, guests commemorated the first day of spring with a free Rita’s Italian Ice giveaway. During the celebration, approximately 1 million cups of Rita’s signature Italian Ice were distributed across the chain’s 575+ locations.

Guests who came to Rita’s on Thursday, March 20, the first day of spring, received a free 6-ounce Italian Ice in their favorite flavor. They were able to pick between Rita’s original Italian Ice flavors as well as the new flavor, SKITTLES Italian Ice. Rita’s, inspired by the taste of a “handful of SKITTLES,” serves a “colorful collision of fruity flavors.”
