Sears Files with SEC to Spin Off Hardware and Outlets

With Sears shareholders getting the right to buy one share of Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores Inc. for each share they own, Chairman Edward Lampert should come away with about 62 percent of the newly spun-off company.
