Shinola looks to create jobs beyond Detroit

Tom Kartsotis, the founder of Shinola, said he chose to start his company in Detroit to create jobs in a place that needed them. So far, so good as the maker and retailer of bicycles, leather goods and watches has grown from its original nine employees to over 500.
