Skechers sues Steve Madden over ‘S’ logo on sneakers

Skechers has sued Steve Madden claiming the “S” logo on its “Kennie” line of sneakers is a trademark violation. Steve Madden said that its design was “in no way inspired by Skechers” and that it has used variations of the logo since the 1990s. Skechers said the “S” design” is likely to mislead consumers into thinking Skechers made or endorsed” the Steve Madden sneakers.
