Smoothie King Is Offering a Free 12-Ounce Smoothie for Daylight Savings Time

Smoothie King knows that its customers will be losing sleep this weekend over Daylight Savings Time, so it’s offering a free smoothie to make Sunday a little bit better.
In a press release shared with RetailWire, the company revealed that Smoothie King’s Healthy Rewards Members can get a free 12-ounce Metabolism Boost Smoothie Dark Chocolate Banana on Sunday, March 9, to help you “power through the day as we spring forward.”
According to the chain, its Metabolism Boost smoothies will help you stay energized and accomplish everything on your to-do list. The Dark Chocolate Banana flavor is the category’s newest addition, combining the rich flavors of 100% cocoa and banana with metabolism-boosting nutrients and protein to keep you full and ready for anything.
This promotion is available nationally, so anybody can join in the fun and enjoy a nutritious, naturally caffeinated smoothie.
The promotion for a free 12-ounce smoothie is only available on March 9. No additional purchase is necessary, and customers can join the Healthy Rewards program for free by creating an account on the company’s website or app.
Smoothie King Has Been Expanding Lately
If a Smoothie King isn’t in your area yet, it might be soon. The company announced last year that it was expanding its retail footprint throughout Las Vegas.
Thanks to two new franchise agreements, the company expanded to seven different locations in the Vegas suburbs. “These new stores build upon the development momentum we set out to achieve for 2024 and we’re really proud to grow in this key market and provide delicious, better-for-you smoothies to our guests in the community,” Chris Bremer, chief development officer, said at the time. “We welcome our new franchisees to the Smoothie King family and look forward to forging a successful partnership together through these new stores.”
This expansion effort is consistent with Smoothie King’s overall business plan, which has gained traction over the last three years. In 2023, the business obtained 189 additional store agreements throughout 47 defined market areas in 29 states. Notably, this expansion includes efforts into previously unexplored markets including Utah, Minnesota, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
Smoothie King, headquartered in Dallas, has established itself as a global smoothie market leader, with a network of over 1,300 outlets globally. As the brand expands its reach, it remains committed to providing healthful smoothie options to its growing customer base.
