Snoop Dogg Teamed Up With STEPN GO for the Sneakers

FSL’s recently released social-lifestyle app, STEPN GO, is thrilled to announce a ground-breaking partnership with the icon, Snoop Dogg, according to a new press release. Together, they are releasing a limited number of co-branded Genesis Sneakers that combine the social exercise platform STEPN GO with the iconic flair of Snoop.

Snoop Dogg is well known for his worldwide impact on business, music, and society. He has always been a trailblazer in breaking new ground. Snoop was an early adopter of blockchain and NFTs and has been a driving influence at the nexus of technology and entertainment. His position as a trendsetter is cemented with this most recent collaboration with STEPN GO, which represents his ongoing entry into the Web3 sphere.

800 Genesis Sneakers, each featuring four distinct designs that draw inspiration from the “Doggystyle” rapper’s most famous appearances and cultural moments, will be released as part of the STEPN GO x Snoop Dogg collaboration. Dope, Lowrider, ‘G’ Sneaker, and Doggystyle are sneakers that pay homage to Snoop’s audacious, fearless, and trailblazing persona in addition to being purely fashionable.

From Oct. 25 to Nov. 8, the 800 Genesis Sneakers raffle will only be conducted through the STEPN GO X account and on MOOAR, FSL’s internal marketplace. The cost of each raffle ticket is 15,000 GMT. All FSL products use GMT, the native token of the FSL Ecosystem, to access different features and benefits.

This collaboration between the Doggfather and STEPN GO is just the latest move that the rapper (real name: Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr.) has made into the retail space. Last week, the Hip Hop legend announced his latest non-musical collaboration with fellow Hip Hop legend and longtime friend and collaborator, Dr. Dre.

The two said the ultra-premium gin, Still G.I.N. By Dre and Snoop, would be available nationwide. Following the worldwide success of the brand’s first release in February — the highly regarded canned drink Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop — this eagerly awaited second product follows. This is the first time the award-winning beverage brand has entered the market for pure premium spirits.

The timeless hit “Still D.R.E.” from Dr. Dre’s groundbreaking multi-platinum album “2001” served as the inspiration for Dre and Snoop’s Still G.I.N., while Gin & Juice pays homage to Snoop Dogg’s hit song “Gin and Juice,” which was produced by Dr. Dre.

“Every day in the studio when Dre and I were trying to make the dopest music, we were drinking gin and just having fun,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement accompanying the press release. “We’ve been a part of the evolution of this gin — from the creation of the flavor, to the percentage of alcohol that’s in it — and it’s just so good! Dre’s a perfectionist: he wants to make sure it’s not just good, but great. Together, we ain’t gonna do nothing regular!”
