Staffing shortages show up in Yelp restaurant reviews

Patrons are bringing up staff shortages as an issue with restaurants they have visited three times more often in Yelp reviews than they were a year ago, according to the site. “We’re not sure where all the workforce went, but a lot of them have disappeared, from managers to chefs to hourlies,” said Dave Nicholas, a founding member of Alexandria Restaurant Partners, which owns eight restaurants in Florida and Northern Virginia.
