Starbucks’ union puts labor deal outline on the table

The union representing Starbucks’ baristas in the Pacific Northwest met with the company’s lawyers to share their wishlist for a labor contract. Starbucks Workers United is seeking a starting wage of $20 an hour and credit card tipping at all stores. It also wants a 37-hour work week guaranteed for full-timers and 100 percent employer-covered health insurance. Starbucks’ lawyers left after nearly four hours of meeting with the union.
