Strike In Denver Averted For Now

Members of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union (UFCW) will vote today and tomorrow on contract proposals made by the Safeway, King Soopers and Albertsons supermarket chains. A vote will also be taken on whether to extend the current contract, which expires at midnight, to October 16.
