Subway Adds $5 Footlong Doritos Nachos to Sidekicks Menu
April 3, 2025
Subway and Doritos are joining forces to bring customers footlong nachos. Selling for $5, the nachos meal is the newest item on Subway’s Sidekicks menu.
According to a press release, the footlong nachos dish is “freshly prepared.” The meal starts with nacho cheese-flavored Doritos chips, then cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, red onions, and jalapeno pieces are piled on top. The finish is a drizzle of Baja Chipotle sauce.
Rotisserie-style chicken or steak can be added as well. For a small upcharge, customers can add a scoop of avocado.

“Subway’s newest partnership takes everything our fans love about Subway sandwiches — from quality veggies, proteins and tasty toppings — to the next level with the cheesy flavor and iconic crunch of Doritos,” said Paul Fabre, SVP of culinary and innovation, in the press release.
To promote the footlong Doritos creation, fans can get the item for free, but only on April 10. To get a footlong nachos at no cost, customers must be members of Subway’s MVP Rewards program and also order a regular footlong sub.
Subway’s Sidekicks and Dippers Menu
Subway’s Sidekicks menu has been steadily growing over the past year. In addition to the footlong Doritos, the OREO Footlong Cookie is among the more recent items, added in January for a limited time. Other Sidekicks 12-inch items include a Cinnabon churro, Auntie Anne’s soft pretzel, and a traditional chocolate chip cookie.
Subway also has other footlong food styles named Dippers. These menu items are served hot and are made using flatbread rolled and filled with pepperoni and cheese, chicken and cheese, or double cheese.
The sub chain introduced the Sidekicks and Dippers menu items after noticing a developing trend among customers. While the restaurant’s traditional sandwich items remain popular, young adults were looking for something more snack-centric.
“We’ve done that because we’ve gotten feedback from our guests because they can come in and grab their favorite sandwich, but they wanted some other reasons to come in,” North America President Douglas Fry told CNN. “Grazing and snacking is on the rise, especially with our core consumers.”
Last month, Subway unveiled hot honey sandwich creations. Made with either chicken or pepperoni, these chef-crafted subs featured sweet and spicy hot honey sauce.
