Subway Debuts New Sandwich Selections Alongside Its Ghost Pepper Bread

October 21, 2024

Subway has once again upped its menu game by debuting new sandwich selections.

Allrecipes is reporting that the popular sandwich chain has unveiled three new sandwiches to try this month: Fiery Meatball, Spicy Nacho Steak, and Spicy Nacho Chicken. If you enjoy a spicy sandwich, these are the ones for you.

We can anticipate the Spicy Nacho Chicken sub to have rotisserie-style chicken, creamy sriracha, onions, peppers, jalapeños, and cheddar cheese sauce, as per an Instagram post by @markie_devo. Along with pepperoni, meatballs, marinara sauce, pepper jack, and parmesan, the Fiery Meatball will also include jalapeños and sriracha. The spicy nacho steak sandwich, which is the last item on the menu, comes with crispy SubKrunch topping, onions, peppers, jalapeños, and creamy sriracha sauce in addition to cheddar cheese sauce.

These new Subway sandwiches are going to be accompanied by a footlong cookie, all of which are scheduled to fully arrive nationwide by November 1.

Try These New Sandwiches on Subway Ghost Pepper Bread

The fast-food restaurant business is launching its spicier bread yet, giving patrons the choice to amp up the heat on any sandwich item on the menu. Additionally, two brand-new sandwiches with a spice profile unmatched by any other that the restaurant has offered are being introduced.

A press release from the company claims that the newest bread product from Subway took a year to develop. Among the hottest chili peppers in the world are ghost peppers. The culinary staff at Subway, however, managed to temper the heat without overpowering any of the staple sandwich elements.

Every day, Subway’s Ghost Pepper Bread is meticulously made in their restaurants across the country by painstakingly dredging Artisan Italian bread dough in panko breadcrumbs seasoned with ghost pepper, habanero, and paprika. Before baking, slices of jalapeño and Monterey cheddar cheese are added on top.

Paul Fabre, senior vice president of culinary and innovation at Subway, said: “It’s been three years since Subway added a new sub bread to our menu, so we wanted to surprise our guests with something unexpected and capable of elevating every sub on our menu. Spicy food is wildly popular, and our guests have told us they are craving more spice on our menu. Subway’s new Ghost Pepper Bread opens up so many delicious possibilities to try, whether you are looking for a hearty kick on your favorite sandwich or maximum heat from our spiciest subs yet.”
