Taco Bell Unwraps New Crunchwraps for Their 20th Anniversary. Here’s What We Know

Taco Bell is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the popular Crunchwrap. The fast-food giant is rolling out its newest version of the popular menu item that’s sure to delight fans. Here’s what we know.

Taco Bell Debuts the Crunchwrap Sliders

PEOPLE reports that Taco Bell’s 20 years of cheesy and crunchy innovation have resulted in new Steak and Queso Crunchwrap Sliders.

On Feb. 27, the fast-casual Mexican company released a tiny version of Crunchwrap Supremes to commemorate the popular menu item’s 20th anniversary.

According to a press release, the “snackable” selection includes steak, chipotle sauce, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, and a tiny tostada wrapped in a soft tortilla and grilled. Furthermore, the limited-time option, which is only available in quantities of two, includes green chile queso on the side for an even cheesier bite.

According to the chain’s website, Taco Bell tested the Crunchwrap Supreme in 2005, and the menu item proved so popular that it was made permanent in 2006. The old Crunchwrap Supreme is larger than the new version, but it employs the same method as a grilled, soft tortilla shell. It usually consists of beef, nacho cheese sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and a tostada shell. As the menu item’s popularity grew, other variations have emerged, such as a Breakfast Crunchwrap or Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme.

Caliente Chicken

A new Crunchwrap isn’t the only new menu item that fans can look forward to. Late last month, the fast-food chain announced that it was unveiling a new twist on its popular Cantina lineup: the Caliente Chicken Menu.

In a press release shared with RetailWire, the fast-food behemoth stated that the Cantina Chicken has won a permanent spot on the national menu because of its enormous popularity. According to Yum! Brands’ Q2 2024 earnings call, Cantina Chicken appeared in one out of every four Taco Bell orders.

It’s time to take things to the next level in 2025. This limited-time menu, topped with the new Caliente Sauce with red jalapeños, takes premium slow-roasted chicken and turns it up to spiciness for those eager to embrace their stronger side. The Caliente Cantina Chicken Menu features robust and flavorful spice selections for tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and bowls, whether you’re a Cantina Chicken aficionado or looking for a new favorite dish.

The Caliente Cantina Chicken lineup includes:

• Caliente Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco ($2.99): A freshly fried white corn shell stuffed with slow-roasted chicken and a three-cheese blend, coated in a layer of grilled cheese for an extra crunch, then drizzled with bold Caliente Sauce.
• Caliente Cantina Chicken Soft Taco ($2.99): A warm, soft tortilla filled with slow-roasted chicken, crisp iceberg lettuce, shredded purple cabbage, cheddar cheese, and fresh pico de gallo, all brought together with a kick of Caliente Sauce.
