Taco Bell App Helps Customers With Budgeting Food Cost
September 27, 2024
A new feature on the Taco Bell app helps its customers budget the cost of its food with its “Name Your Price Tool.” According to Nation’s Restaurant News, Taco Bell launched the tool on its mobile app to help consumers save money. But how does it work?
This new tool allows customers to set a subtotal amount ranging from $5 to $25 (excluding taxes, fees, tips, and extras) that they want to spend. The Name Your Price Tool finds random menu items that match the dollar amount a customer wants to spend and presents different meal options that fit within their budget. Users can also “pin” certain items to their carts and randomize the rest again to find the right combination.
Then, all customers have to do is pick and choose from the items to make the perfect food combo that hits their price point and place their order.
Per Nation’s Restaurant News, “Drinks, freezes, combos, boxes, party packs, Meal for 2, Meal for 4, sauces, Passes, and Early Access products are not shown in the tool.”

Taco Bell Is Testing New Menu Items and Bringing Back a Fan Favorite
This innovation comes on the heels of the fast-food chain testing new menu items such as a Caliente Cantina Chicken Menu, currently available in the Cincinnati market, which includes the Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco, Cantina Chicken Soft Taco, Cantina Chicken Burrito, Cantina Chicken Quesadilla, and Cantina Chicken Bowl — all with a new Caliente sauce.
In the Charlotte, North Carolina, market, Agua Refresca flavors are being tested. These tasty beverages include fruit flavors mixed with real fruit pieces and green tea. In Charlotte, customers can now try the Peach Mango and Dragonfruit Berry flavors, but everyone can get the Strawberry Passionfruit Agua Refresca.
One menu item that everyone can enjoy is the return of Taco Bell’s Double Decker Taco. From Oct. 10 through Oct. 30, the item will be available for $2. It includes a crunchy taco shell filled with seasoned beef, shredded lettuce, and cheddar cheese, all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla filled with refried beans.
