Taco Bell and Milk Bar Unveil the Ultimate Indulgence: Birthday Cake Churros

Taco Bell and Milk Bar have teamed up to create the ultimate food mash-up: Milk Bar Birthday Cake Churros, a sweet twist on the beloved Mexican dessert in celebration of Taco Bell’s 63rd year in business.

Per a press release, Taco Bell has added a twist to the cinnamon sugar goodness of a traditional churro, using Milk Bar’s iconic birthday cake blend to create an entirely new flavor. Milk Bar is a New York-based bakery famous for its layer cakes and cake bites.

These churros are filled with birthday cake frosting and covered with pink confetti sprinkles. Fans can get their hands on this fabulous new dessert while supplies last for only $2.99 for two churros or $1.99 for one.

“We love partnerships that play with form and flavor, which is exactly what we’ve done with this extra-celebratory take on the churro,” shared Taco Bell’s global chief food innovation officer, Liz Matthews. “A visit to Taco Bell isn’t complete without savoring the sweets, and this special little treat captures the sweet, nostalgic birthday cake flavors and festive feeling with every bite, making every occasion feel like your special day.”

“For over 16 years, Milk Bar has been a part of so many people’s birthdays and special moments, so we were beyond excited when our friends at Taco Bell asked us if we were game to collab on another dessert to turn everyday moments into celebrations,” said Christina Tosi, chef and founder of Milk Bar. “This treat has all the iconic birthday cake spirit (and flavor), deliciously and uniquely delivered in crispy churro form, and we can’t wait for you to try it!”

But what do customers think? On the chain’s Instagram post announcing the official release of the new treat, one fan wrote, “Taco Bell, I do not need ANOTHER reason to come see you! OMW.” A second penned, “These are seriously GOOD! Do not sleep on them!” A third concluded, “They were amazing. Thank you so much.”

This Isn’t the First Taco Bell and Milk Bar Collaboration

Taco Bell and Milk Bar first collaborated in 2022. Together, they debuted the Strawberry Bell Truffle, which was a bite-sized cake truffle with tiny pieces of the Mexican fast-food chain’s Crunchy Taco Shell included.

Tosi said of the initial partnership between the two companies, “A collab with our brilliant friends at Taco Bell has been on my bucket list for some time. We white boarded ideas and R&D’ed to seemingly no end, but then the masterminds of our culinary team, led by VP, Anna McGorman, struck sweet gold with this unique dessert that packs such delicious flavor and is a true meeting of minds who love to color outside the lines. We’re pumped for you to take a bite!”
