Target Circle Week Deals: What We Know

July 8, 2024

Target Circle Week has hit the popular stores nationwide, and some of the best deals aren’t even being advertised. The discount week was designed to compete with Amazon Prime Day and Walmart’s newly announced discount week. Let’s take a look at what we know about the latest entry into the discount wars.

Target Circle Week: What Is It?

Target is offering a weeklong savings event that is exclusive to members of its Circle loyalty program, which is free to join. The event promises up to 50% off store-wide and is one of the Prime Day alternative sales that the retailer hopes will draw customers away from Amazon this summer.

A Target Circle 360 subscription, which normally costs $99, is discounted by 50% for the first year ($49) during Target’s summer sale. With Shipt, Target provides limitless same-day delivery. Members can also shop from hundreds of retail partners, like CVS, Lowe’s, PetSmart, and more, by accessing Shipt Marketplace.

Target Circle Week is taking place in-store, online at Target.com, and on the retailer’s app. It began on Sunday, July 7, and runs through Saturday, July 13.

Target’s Circle program, which is free to join and grants access to all of the discounts, does not need a membership purchase, unlike Amazon Prime Day. That means that while Target Credit Card customers receive additional savings, it’s not necessary to have a card to shop the weeklong event.

In addition to the up to 50% off savings, customers will receive a $15 Target gift card for spending $50 on home care goods and a $10 Target gift card for spending $40 on specific Ulta Beauty at Target products.

During the seven-day shopping event, additional earnings are also available to Target Circle members. You can save time when you fill your IRL basket with promotions that are only available in-store by taking advantage of the retailer’s easy same-day services, which let you stock up on web-only offers at home for in-store or drive-up pickup. A Shipt membership, which comes with a Target Circle 360 subscription, is an additional way to have your order delivered.

Steep Competition

Target Circle Week isn’t the only discount week available for the month of July. A bargains event that Walmart has announced will debut ahead of Amazon Prime Day and compete against it.

Thousands of products in back-to-school, tech, toys, outdoor, travel, and other categories will be heavily discounted during the Walmart Deals event. Shop thousands of bargains and save hundreds of dollars starting Monday, July 8, at 5 p.m. EST and ending Thursday, July 11, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Starting at noon EST on July 8, Walmart+ members will have first dibs on the best sales of the season, enabling them to peruse and purchase anything they want five hours ahead of other customers.

Unlike Prime Day, this Walmart discount event is open to all shoppers, not only those with a paid membership. Those who purchase an Amazon Prime membership are catered to on Prime Day.

Customers of Walmart can benefit from the company’s pickup and delivery options as they shop. The store offers personal shoppers the ability to have an order ready to go immediately after it is placed, as well as early to late pickup and delivery options.

Amazon Prime Day, the largest shopping day of the year for the e-commerce platform, is scheduled to commence on July 16 and last until the 17, following Walmart’s Deals Days. Prime subscribers will have first dibs on millions of fantastic offers on popular brands.

To encourage members to purchase frequently on Prime Day, new bargains will be released as frequently as every five minutes during specific times. Additionally, the website is reintroducing invite-only sales, and Prime subscribers can ask to be invited to these sales, which usually sell out.
