Target workers can wear shorts now, and they’re thrilled about it

July 17, 2023

Target has updated its dress code to allow most store employees to wear shorts to work. Previously, only cart attendants and drive-up fulfillment workers were allowed to wear shorts. The change comes after the U.S. experienced triple-digit heat waves and record-high global temperatures. Employees are still required to wear a full-length shirt with sleeves, preferably in red, and the company provides red vests to wear during a shift.
