Tax Rebate to Stimulate Retail Sales

TNS Retail Forward expects the tax rebate checks that started showing up in the checking accounts of consumers yesterday to give a 1.5 percent incremental lift to retail sales in the second quarter followed by a three percent added push in the third quarter.
