Teen spending drops to two decade record low

American teenagers have spent about $2,150 this year, down nine percent from last year, according to Piper Jaffray’s 40th biannual “Taking Stock with Teens” report. Forty-eight percent of teens say the economy is getting worse compared to 32 percent last year.
