Tesco exploring cashier-less options in response to Amazon Go

Bloomberg reports that UK retail giant Tesco is working with an Israeli tech startup, Trigo Vision Ltd., to develop a cashier-free store environment. Tesco management is no doubt considering the coming of Amazon's Go store format, which could hit the UK market via an expanding partnership with Wm Morrison Supermarkets. Amazon has estimated that it may open as many as 3,000 Go stores in the U.S., but the rollout has been anything but swift to this point in time.
