Budget-Friendly Thanksgiving Meals Announced by Target, Walmart, and Aldi
November 3, 2023
In a bid to attract festive shoppers, major retailers like Target, Walmart, and Aldi are offering competitively priced holiday meals this season.
Target is leading the charge with a $25 Thanksgiving meal deal that serves four. The feast includes a 10-pound turkey, potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, and gravy. This value-packed deal is available on the Target website.
Walmart is also entering the Thanksgiving savings fray with discounted prices on holiday essentials. The retail giant is offering two meal options: one for those who prefer to prepare the meal from scratch and another that’s ready to bake. Both options are priced lower than last year’s offerings.
Meanwhile, Aldi is slashing prices on more than 70 items for Thanksgiving, offering discounts of up to 50%. The price reductions cover everything from seasonal items to kitchen staples, making it easier for customers to stock up for the holidays.
Target’s Thanksgiving Meal for $25
Target is offering a pre-assembled meal package that includes seven items, providing an effortless and budget-friendly solution for a delicious holiday feast.
The Thanksgiving meal package includes the following:
- A 10-pound Good & Gather Premium Basted Young Turkey (Frozen)
- A 5-pound bag of Good & Gather Russet Potatoes
- A 14.5-ounce can of Good & Gather Cut Green Beans
- A 22-ounce can of Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup
- A 14-ounce can of Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce
- A 6-ounce box of Stove Top Turkey Stuffing Mix
- A 12-ounce jar of Heinz HomeStyle Roasted Turkey Gravy
While customers will still need to handle the cooking and preparation, the convenience of purchasing all the necessary ingredients in one place without straining the budget is an enticing proposition.
The offer is available at specific Target branches nationwide, barring those in Alaska and Hawaii. Customers can secure this meal by adding the items to their carts either in-store or via the Target app for pickup. It’s important to note that the mentioned $25 price does not include tax. Furthermore, these items can be purchased using the SNAP benefits program both in-store, on Target’s website, and within the app.
