The Chinese government says ChatGPT-like tech must toe the party's line

The Cyberspace Administration of China has unveiled draft rules requiring generative artificial intelligence technology to adhere to strict censorship rules set out by the Chinese Communist Party. ChatGPT is unavailable in China, but domestic alternatives have come to market.
